A goal either side of half-time prevented the league leaders from setting a new Premier League record in their hunt for a 14th straight win.
Alli, who struggled for consistent form in the first three months of the season, has now scored seven in his last four appearances alone – a brace in each of the last three.
His recent run of goals has seen Spurs cruise to four straight wins in potentially tricky games, including 4-1 away victories over Southampton and Watford.
The 20-year-old has now reached 10 Premier League goals for the campaign already, 11 in all competitions. Reaching double figures for the second season running, it means he has equalled his impressive league return from an incredible debut year in just over half a season.
10 – Dele Alli has equalled his Premier League goal tally from last season (10 in 33 apps), in just 19 PL apps this season. Star.

He has another four months of games left to see how far he can take it.
What’s more, the importance of the youngster’s goals cannot be underestimated as Spurs are yet to lose to a single game in which Alli has found the net – now 17 in all competitions since August 2015. That’s 13 wins and four draws.
That very first Spurs goal for the then teenager helped secure a point against eventual champions Leicester City and he hasn’t looked back since.
