?Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as the favourites, ahead of Manchester United, to sign Atletico Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro this summer.
Spurs, in the eyes of some bookmakers, are top of the list of clubs to sign the French forward, according to ?Football London, if Atletico look to make room for the return of Chelsea striker Diego Costa.
Tottenham are 4/1 favourites to acquire the signature of the 30-year-old prolific forward just ahead of Manchester United at 6/1, Real Madrid and Barcelona are at 8/1, whilst French giants PSG sit at 12/1.
Gameiro has proven himself for Atletico in La Liga since his arrival last year, he’s scored 16 goals in all competitions – 12 of those coming in the Spanish league. He signed from Sevilla for £27m, a club where he netted 67 times in 145 games.
He first made a name for himself at Lorient where he scored 56 times in 120 appearances and his ability in front of goal has attracted the attention of Tottenham – who could be looking to replace Vincent Janssen who failed to make a good impression during his first season in the Premier League.
