?Arsenal’s star striker Alexis Sanchez has stoked the fires of\u00a0speculation over a contract renewal\u00a0dispute at the Emirates, by stating the decision to sign a new deal\u00a0“doesn’t depend on me”.<\/p>\n

The Chilean has 18 months to run on his current deal and has reportedly\u00a0been in talks with the Gunners’ hierarchy over a new deal, but neither party has yet been willing to compromise on their demands.\u00a0?<\/p>\n

Reports\u00a0have suggested that Sanchez is looking to double his current earnings and\u00a0become one of the Premier League highest earners.<\/p>\n

When questioned by\u00a0?Sky Sports\u00a0about ongoing negotiations, Sanchez said:\u00a0“I’m focused more on winning football matches – I’m staying concentrated on that.<\/p>\n

“It really doesn’t depend on me – if they want to show confidence in me. I’m very happy at the club. I love all the staff. I’m very grateful for everybody here.<\/p>\n

“It depends on Arsenal.”<\/p>\n

The former Barcelona and Udinese attacker was quick to affirm his love for the club’s supporters and his desire to ensure success, as long as he remained at the Emirates.<\/p>\n

“I enjoy the relationship with the fans. I want to achieve more for them. I want to win the Premier League and the Champions League.”<\/p>\n

Sanchez’s Arsenal take on Manchester City – one of the attacker suggested suitors along with Hebei China\u00a0Fortune, should talks fall apart –\u00a0and he insists that off-the-field affairs will not interfere with his match performance.<\/p>\n

“I’ve told my agent I don’t want to speak about this too much when all the rumours are going around – it can distract a player from their main focus of concentration,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I’m just focused on playing football, Sunday is a very important match. I’ve got an agent who deals with all of this, so I just want to focus on making the fans happy.<\/p>\n

“I’m very relaxed. I’m trying not to let it bother me – that’s not what I want.”<\/p>\n
