Burnley have completed the signing of Leeds defender Charlie Taylor with the former England U19 international signing a four-year deal.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old enjoyed a promising campaign at Elland Road last season, attracting attention from a number of Premier League clubs.<\/p>\n

Taylor is Sean Dyche’s first acquisition of the summer as the manager looks to solidify the Clarets’ status in England’s top-flight.<\/p>\n

The highly-rated left-back will offer strong competition for Stephen Ward despite the Irish international enjoying a stellar campaign in 2016\/17.<\/p>\n

Taylor’s arrival will be a huge boost for Burnley fans after losing star defender Michael Keane to Everton earlier in the week.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, Dyche will have to make sure he asserts his authority over the new arrival after it was revealed that the left-back refused to play for Leeds on the final day of last season against Wigan.<\/p>\n

“I’m hugely disappointed with Charlie. I think he’s been terribly advised all season,” Garry Monk told\u00a0?BBC Radio Leeds\u00a0<\/span>at the time.<\/p>\n

Taylor’s head was reportedly turned by Premier League interest throughout the season with his former manager also saying:\u00a0“I understand he’s very young, and we’ve tried to help him and guide him from within, but it’s very difficult to get him fully committed.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Had he had some better advice from the outside, I think we would have seen a better Charlie Taylor this season and left on better terms, if that’s what’s going to happen. But that’s over to the club and the player now.<\/p>\n
