Former England U21 international Curtis Davies has announced that he has left the KCOM Stadium to make a summer move to Derby County ahead of the 2017\/18 season.<\/p>\n

Davies was relegated with Hull from the Premier League this season, despite an impressive run of form since Marco\u00a0Silva was appointed the manager of Hull City in early January. The defender will move to Derby County once the transfer window officially opens.<\/p>\n

Davies, who is well-known for his FA Cup final goal against Arsenal in 2014, will look to help Derby County push for promotion next season, having missed out on the play-off places by a 13-point margin this campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The tough tackling defender featured 26 times for Hull in this Premier\u00a0League season, assisting two goals in the process. The centre-back, however, managed just one clean sheet to his name, coming on the second day of the season in Hull’s 2-0 victory over Swansea.<\/p>\n

Davies has been a key part of Hull City’s defence since his arrival from Birmingham in 2013, making over 140 appearances for the Tigers during his career there.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old will now look to help push Derby County on to promotion ahead of the coming season, bringing a heap of top flight experience to a Derby side with has been flirting with promotion for the last few seasons.<\/p>\n
