?Southampton manager Claude Puel has stressed that he feels “comfortable” at the club despite speculation over his future.<\/p>\n

The Frenchman’s\u00a0defensive approach in recent weeks has reportedly frustrated some fans, while the players have been alienated by his incessant tinkering with team selections.<\/p>\n

Puel is set to meet with Saints’\u00a0executive director Les Reed after the final game of the season against Stoke, but he has insisted that he is not considering a potential exit.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am under contract and I am comfortable with Southampton,” Puel told\u00a0talkSPORT.\u00a0\u201cMy work and my wish, is just to stay concentrated about this last game and finish well.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe have an opportunity to finish up in the table and it\u2019s a good thing after this long and difficult season. We are lucky about this and that is the most important thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added:\u00a0\u201cI keep my conversation about the team private, and to prepare for this last game.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sometimes it was fantastic, and they always give a good attitude and good spirit in every training session and every game, sometimes without the good reward.\u00a0I say congratulations for all this good work all season.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
