The style of play at St, Mary\u2019s has often been questioned during Puel\u2019s reign, with many fans suggesting the football is too negative. However, it\u2019s the news of unrest from the players that seems like it could\u00a0be the final nail in the coffin.<\/p>\n

??Some stars have apparently complained about the quality of training sessions and are believed to be upset with the manager\u2019s decision to name team\u2019s shortly before kick-off, leaving them to feel like there isn’t enough time to prepare for the match.<\/inline><\/p>\n

Puel seems to be bemused that his work would lead to criticism after taking the Saints to the League Cup final, as well as a potential eighth-place finish in the league. <\/p>\n

He has also had to work for a good portion of the season without centre-back Virgil van Dijk and striker Charlie Austin, two of his most influential players.<\/p>\n

The former Nice manager has also brought through several promising youngsters, such as Josh Sims, Jack Stephens and Sam McQueen after the previous manager Ronald Koeman was heavily criticised for his lack of faith in the youth set-up.<\/p>\n

But it seems as if\u00a0none of these factors will be enough to keep the Frenchman in his job, and he could be relieved of his duties as early as next week.<\/p>\n
