?Swansea manager Paul Clements believes that Swansea have been given a lifeline after Premier League results went their way on Saturday.<\/inline><\/p>\n

The Welsh side successfully managed to escape the clutches of the relegation zone with a 1-0 victory against Everton. This result alongside Hull\u2019s 2-0 home loss at the hands of Sunderland meant Swansea leapfrogged them and they now find themselves out of the drop zone, according to Sky Sports.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the win at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday evening, Paul Clements stated: \u201cWhat it says to everyone is ‘We have an opportunity, don’t waste it.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

He went onto state the importance of the weekend, \u201cIt has ended up being a positive weekend. It was a fantastic win for us and at a point of the season with the stakes so high.\u201d<\/p>\n

The results leaves Swansea\u2019s destiny in their own hands. They are one point clear of Hull with games against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light and West Brom at home left.<\/p>\n

Conversely Hull face the tougher tests, having to go to Crystal Palace and to try and stop high-flying Tottenham at home. All in the hope of putting pressure on Swansea to falter and to give them a glimmer of hope of staying up.<\/inline><\/p>\n

Led by Leon Britton, the Swansea players have agreed to pay for the fans’ trip to Sunderland out of their own wages. 3,000 fans will travel up to Toon with the hope that a Swansea win and another Hull slip will allow them to avoid relegation again.\u00a0<\/p>\n
