Paul Clement is the man Swansea City want to manage the club next season, regardless whether or not they’re relegated from the Premier League.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0?Sun\u00a0report that the club’s hierarchy\u00a0has been impressed by Clement since his arrival at the Liberty Stadium from Bayern Munich back in January, and believe that he is the man to rebuild the team should they be relegated to the Championship.<\/p>\n

Clement has had a productive start to his time at Swansea, after taking over the club when they were four points adrift at the bottom on the Premier League. He won the Manager of the Month award in his first month in charge after winning three\u00a0of his first four Premier League games, including wins against Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Southampton.<\/p>\n

Whilst results have not been consistent, the Swans fans will be encouraged by the team’s last two performances, with a comfortable 2-0 win at home to Stoke City followed by an impressive 1-1 draw away to Manchester United.<\/p>\n

Swansea currently sit in 18th position in the Premier League. However, they only trail 17th place Hull City by two points\u00a0with just three games remaining, and the Swan’s star man Gylfi Sigurdsson issued a warning to Hull that they will not let up in their survival bid.<\/p>\n

“We’re a point closer now to hope,”\u00a0<\/inline>Sigurdsson told\u00a0?Sky Sports\u00a0following Swansea’s 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

“It doesn’t give Hull too much breathing space and they can’t afford to slip up too many times now. It was important for us not to be going away with nothing.”<\/inline><\/p>\n

Relegation is certainly a possibility for the Swans despite their hopes of staying up this season, but it seems Clement wants to honour the two and a half year deal he signed with the club by bringing them back to the Premier League should the worst happen, with a number of summer transfers already reportedly being lined up.<\/inline><\/p>\n

Swansea’s next game is against Everton at the Liberty Stadium, followed by an away trip to already relegated Sunderland and a home game against West Brom on the final day.
