Swansea’s lack of creativity proved costly on Saturday, as the south Wales side stooped to a 1-0 loss to Watford.<\/inline><\/p>\n

Speaking to the\u00a0<\/inline><\/inline>?club’s official\u00a0website\u00a0after the game, Swansea manager Paul Clement had this to say:<\/inline><\/inline><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are now in a situation where we have five games left. Hull haven\u2019t won today. That\u2019s a bonus, but it\u2019s also a missed opportunity because we would have been out of the bottom three if we had won.<\/p>\n

“Mathematically it is out of our hands, but what is in our hands is the next game at home against Stoke. I believe you can say now that that\u2019s a must-win game.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we need to win three of the five games we have left. Who knows if that will be enough \u2013 it\u2019s possible it won\u2019t be.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I believe we can win three games. We won four out of six at one stage so why can\u2019t we win three out of five?”<\/p>\n

When quizzed on how his side performed defensively, Clement noted that for the large part of the game, his side defended well, and despite Alfie Mawson’s costly error, it was no excuse to come away from the game with nothing.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s clear the goal was an individual error and it came at a bad moment for us.<\/p>\n

“That\u2019s not something you would expect from one of your central defenders in that area of the pitch.\u00a0<\/p>\n
