Sunderland manager David Moyes says his side’s hopes of beating Manchester United on Sunday were damaged by refereeing decisions.<\/p>\n

Midfielder Sebastian Larsson was controversially sent off in the first-half after Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s opener before further goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marcus Rashford sealed the win for the Red Devils.<\/p>\n

Moyes told Sky Sports as quoted by\u00a0?BBC Sport:\u00a0?“There’s disappointment we didn\u2019t get anything from the game.<\/inline><\/p>\n

“United were good. We hung in there. I just think couple of decisions went against us. It’s hard enough to play against United with 11 men never mind 10.<\/p>\n

“The decisions didn\u2019t help us today. I don\u2019t want to really focus on the ref. Maybe the decisions today had an impact on the game.<\/p>\n

Regarding the sending off, Moyes admitted it affected the game hugely as Sunderland were reduced to brief forays going forward.<\/p>\n

“We have to do more in some areas. The decisions didn’t help.\u00a0It affected the match incredibly. I have to give the players credit for trying to stick with it.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The loss cemented Sunderland’s position at the bottom of the table and the club look destined for the drop, with the Black Cats currently 10 points from safety with just seven games remaining.<\/p>\n

“We keep fighting and keep going. We have another home game next Saturday. We know we are in a really poor position.”<\/p>\n

Sunderland face West Ham next Saturday, with further matches against Bournemouth, Middlesbrough, Hull, Swansea, Arsenal\u00a0and Chelsea completing their fixture list.<\/p>\n
