Stoke midfielder\u00a0?Giannelli Imbula admits he could leave the club after growing frustrated with a lack of playing time.<\/p>\n

Glenn Whelan and Joe Allen have featured prominently in central midfield roles this season, while Charlie Adam has also made 20 Premier League appearances, with Imbula’s role restricted to just 12 matches in the competition, starting in nine of those games.<\/p>\n

Speaking to\u00a0?The Sun, Imbula claimed his career is not going the way he envisioned it would after his move to England.<\/p>\n

\u201cI work hard in training, and in my mind I am ready to give my all for Stoke,” the 24-year-old said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut then they don\u2019t give me the chance to play. We will see what happens at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am not going to let this situation continue for ages, as I am not happy with it at all.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy career is not progressing the way I had imagined. Since I left Marseille [for Porto in 2015] it has not gone well for a host of reasons.”<\/p>\n

Imbula did indicate that his problems could be fixed with a starting role under Mark Hughes, but stated he wants to be in contention for France’s national team and by not playing he is doing his chances harm.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy main dream is to get back onto the pitch. It is something I am capable of doing,” the former Porto and Marseille man added.<\/p>\n

\u201cWithout this I can\u2019t even start dreaming about being called up to play for France.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing able to play for Stoke once again is the limit of my dreams for the time being.\u201d<\/p>\n
