{"id":10363,"date":"2017-03-17T17:47:45","date_gmt":"2017-03-17T17:47:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.violetsport.com\/2017\/03\/17\/sunderland-dealt-further-injury-blow-with-key-midfielder-set-for-further-6-weeks-on-the-sidelines\/"},"modified":"2017-03-17T17:47:45","modified_gmt":"2017-03-17T17:47:45","slug":"sunderland-dealt-further-injury-blow-with-key-midfielder-set-for-further-6-weeks-on-the-sidelines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.violetsport.com\/?p=10363","title":{"rendered":"Sunderland Dealt Further Injury Blow With Key Midfielder Set for Further 6 Weeks on the Sidelines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div readability=\"76.2573189522\">\n<p>?Sunderland have confirmed\u00a0that midfielder\u00a0Jan Kirchhoff is set for another spell on the sidelines after suffering a reoccurrence of his knee\u00a0injury which has kept him out for the majority of the season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kirchhoff underwent an operation on his knee cartilage back in December, the last time he played for the first team, with Sunderland boss David Moyes hoping he would return in April\u00a0to help see the season out, but the club confirmed in a statement on their\u00a0official website\u00a0that\u00a0<span style=\"background-color: initial; font-size: 1em;\">this fresh injury will keep him out for another month at least.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i class=\"wrapper\" contenteditable=\"false\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The midfielder began his comeback two weeks ago when he featured in a Under-23 game between the Black Cats and Manchester United.
