VIDEO: Wilfried Zaha Recalls Favourite Crystal Palace Moment After Signing New Contract With Club

?Wilfried Zaha has looked back on his favourite moment in a Crystal Palace shirt after signing a new five-year deal with the club.

Palace’s Player of the Season for two consecutive seasons, Zaha was heavily linked with a move away in the upcoming summer transfer window, but has now committed his future to the Eagles.

And he has pointed to the brace he scored against rivals Brighton in the 2013 play-off semi-final as his best memory of playing for the club.

“It would probably have to be that game,” he told ?Crystal Palace’s official website. “I’m sure the odds were against us to lose that day because during that season we went to Brighton and lost 3-0.

“Everyone probably thought we were going to lose, so winning that game is probably the highlight of my Crystal Palace career so far.”

Brighton will play in the Premier League next season after finishing second in the Championship this season, meaning that Zaha and Palace can reignite their rivalry with the South Coast club.

“I’m definitely looking forward to that,” Zaha said. “I’m really looking forward to next season.”

Zaha was a standout performer for Palace in a difficult season, scoring seven Premier League goals and providing nine assists.

On his contract extension, he added: “I’m buzzing because it shows that obviously the club believe in me and they rewarded me for the season we had, so I’m happy.”
