Jurgen Klopp Admits Liverpool Will Have to Move on With Transfer Business to Compete Next Season

?Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted he will ‘100%’ add to his squad this summer as Liverpool look to return to the top of English football.

A win at home to already-relegated Middlesborough on Sunday will ensure Champions League football for the Reds next season, and Klopp is hoping that a top-four finish will give his side an advantage when it comes to bringing in new players.

Klopp has insisted that new faces will arrive at Anfield as the club look to keep up with their Premier League rivals, who he feels will be sure to add to their already-strong squads this summer – with massive sums of money set to change hands for Europe’s top talent this summer.

?Speaking ahead of his side’s crucial weekend game against Middlesbrough, he said: “Of course we need to be stronger because (the clubs) around us will be stronger, we will be stronger 100 per cent.”

However, Klopp also stressed that his side will have to keep the players they have fit, adding: “Still then you need to be lucky with injuries because the injuries we had this year were not injuries from training.

“In the game it was knocks and ankle and ligament and things you have no influence on. It would happen in the challenge, we didn’t do it on training ground. Problems here, problems there, these really significant injuries, they were all from the pitch, from the games.

“Can you solve this problem? Not 100 per cent, no. But we learned a lot and we will bring in quality now.”
