FA Cup Semi-Final Draw: The Last 4 Teams Aiming for Glory Learn Their Wembley Fate

As the 2016/17 FA Cup nears its conclusion, the last few teams remaining in the competition have learned their fate after the semi-final draw was made on Monday night.

Immediately following Chelsea’s victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge in the last quarter-final tie, the draw pitted Antonio Conte‘s men against Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs had booked their place at this stage after sweeping past League One Millwall in a London derby on Sunday.

Arsenal, meanwhile, conquerors of non-league Lincoln City on Saturday, will face Manchester City as the Gunners look to capture a third cup triumph in the space of four seasons.

Arsene Wenger suggested that beating the National League side 5-0 has restored his players’ confidence after a poor run of recent results, including back-to-back annihilations in Europe.

The semi-finals will be played at Wembley Stadium during the weekend of 22/23 April.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is particularly looking forward to returning to the famous venue following European Cup wins as a player and manager in 1992 and 2011 respectively.

“As a player I won our first Champions League in Wembley, the old Wembley, and as a manager I won my second Champions League there, so of course Wembley is special for me, definitely,” he had said after City beat Middlesbrough to book their place in the last four.
