Liverpool might be planning to drop Adam Lallana for their clash against Tottenham this weekend, according to former Newcastle striker Micky Quinn who spoke on TalkSPORT.
The Reds have been undergoing a mid-season slump over the past six weeks, failing to win in the Premier League since New Year’s Eve.
And as a result, Jurgen Klopp will reportedly drop star-man Lallana for their clash against 2nd-placed Tottenham on Saturday.
Micky Quinn, a Liverpool supporter, believes Klopp has been pioneering a masterplan to beat Spurs this week, and that it doesn’t include playmaker Lallana.
“The one thing I always look back on is history. Liverpool have been brilliant against Spurs down the years,” he added.
“Spurs haven’t won at Anfield in the Premier League for God knows how long, which is a plus and Jurgen Klopp’s got to step up because there’s questions about him as well.”
A win for Liverpool could take them up to 3rd, while a defeat could see them leapfrogged by bitter-rivals Manchester United into 5th.
